Yet wonder I yet as scribed these words
if recipient need ought be me.

Lament I could of stolen dreams,
that breathless borrowed burn,

Yet wonder if should deserved be
my own didst spire spurn.

Evaded not my cheery face,
my visage all may see,
and underneath I’ve yet to still,
a wandering soul is me.

My question then thought simple was,
yet argument flees to cease—
who were’t that departed first,
were’t me or peace?

And so I’ll speak my peace
in phrases plain:

A technician fixes the escalator at the top of Lenoir Dining hall on Wednesday afternoon.

Instead of the process of (1) feeling bad about not getting work done and (2) experiencing that black-hole feeling that dredges up negativity whenever we do return to work, (3) wanting to avoid those feelings and (4) thus keep procrastinating, I’m feeling better.

Why? Perspective.

And these were some directions worth taking.

My friend Aaron tells me that all of his friends told him to check out this band, and he resisted. “Eh, been there, heard that.” And then he takes a listen, and told me incredulously: “Man…I was missing out.”

Random web surfing takes me to a blog where the author had nearly the same experience — same band, same initial reaction, same holy-guacamole-my-ears-never-felt-so-good-what-was-I-thinking-waiting-so-long? moment.
